Meet Rose

Rose Mulvany Henry is ready to lead and humbled to serve. She is running for Mayor/CEO of Wyandotte County and Kansas City, Kansas, to help the place we call home reach its full potential. 

Rose is an accomplished executive and attorney with a proven track record of strategic leadership in the telecommunications and utility sectors. She brings over three decades of executive and legal experience spanning corporate, regulatory, and entrepreneurial environments.

She most recently served as Vice President of Regulatory Affairs at Metronet, one of the largest fiber internet providers in the United States. Throughout her career, Rose has demonstrated a strong ability to align regulatory policy with business objectives - partnering with public and private stakeholders to drive multi-billion-dollar infrastructure investments. 

In addition to her corporate leadership, Rose is a civic leader, serving since 2019 as an elected member of the Kansas City, Kansas Board of Public Utilities (At Large - Position 3). She has led governance reforms, championed equitable customer service policies, and played a central role in recruiting a forward-thinking executive management team focused on innovation, efficiency, and community impact.

Rose is a lifelong “Dotte” and a proud graduate of Bishop Ward High School. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Kansas and went on to receive her Juris Doctor from Washburn University School of Law.

Outside the boardroom, she is passionate about nonprofit development, criminal justice reform, and workforce advancement. She and her husband, John Henry, reside in Kansas City, Kansas. Their son, Justin, his wife Sophia, and their two grandchildren live in the Kansas City metro area.
